Terms of Service
Effective August 9, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Mira Money for the Mira app and this website. By creating an account or using Mira, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Mira.
What Mira is — and is not
Mira is a tool for seeing and organising your own financial information. It reads data from accounts you connect and helps you categorise, budget, and analyse it.
Mira is not a financial adviser, investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, tax preparer, or accountant, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Nothing in the app — including budgets, projections, insights, portfolio commentary, tax-lot information, or anything the assistant says — is investment, legal, or tax advice. Mira cannot move money, execute trades, or pay bills. Decisions about your money are yours; please consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.
Accuracy
Mira displays information supplied by you, by your financial institutions, and by third-party data providers. That information can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and institutions sometimes change or restate transactions after the fact. Market prices are delayed and are provided for information only. Always treat statements from your financial institution as authoritative, and check anything before you rely on it — particularly for a tax filing.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may only connect financial accounts that you own or are authorised to access, and you confirm you have that authority.
- The information you give us must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
Subscription and billing
Mira Pro costs $79.99 per year and begins with a 14-day free trial. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect.
- Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is taken when the trial ends, and the subscription renews automatically each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings — we cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you. Apple’s refund policy applies to those purchases.
- Subscriptions bought on the web are billed by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel from the billing portal in your account settings.
- Cancelling stops future charges. Your subscription runs until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not give partial refunds for an unused period except where the law requires it.
- One subscription covers your access on every platform where you sign in with the same account.
- If we change the price, we will give you notice before it applies to a renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Households and shared data
If you invite someone into a household, you are choosing to share the accounts you select with them, and you are responsible for making that choice. If you join someone else’s household, they may see the data you share and take actions the household role allows. Only invite people you trust with your financial information. Either of you can stop sharing at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Mira for anything unlawful, or to access someone else’s data without authority.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying data of the service, except where law makes that right unwaivable.
- Interfere with or overload the service, circumvent rate limits, or probe its security without our written permission.
- Resell or redistribute the service, or share your account with people outside your household.
Your content
Your financial data is yours. You keep all rights to it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you — to store, process, and display your data, and to pass it to the providers named in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
Our content
The Mira app, website, name, logo, and design are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Mira for your own financial management, subject to these terms.
Third-party services
Mira relies on third parties — including bank-connection providers, market data providers, and payment processors — to work. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and their own terms apply to the part of the service they provide. We are not responsible for a third party’s acts or omissions.
Availability
We work to keep Mira running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice before we remove something you depend on. You can export your data at any time.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Mira is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy or availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Mira Money will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or financial losses arising from decisions you make using Mira. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Mira and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we must act on for legal reasons, or that poses a security risk — with notice where practical. On termination your licence ends; the sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Mira after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Texas will have jurisdiction — except that you may always bring a claim in your local courts if the law where you live gives you that right. Please write to us first: nearly everything is faster to resolve by email than by filing.
